Sliding Scale Therapists

At our Carlisle Collective, we understand that access to affordable mental health care is crucial. That's why we're excited to introduce our low-cost therapy program, facilitated by graduate students who are completing their practicum and internship hours. Our mission is to make quality mental health services accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial circumstances. Through our partnerships with graduate students, we're able to offer therapy sessions at a reduced cost while still maintaining high standards of care. You can learn even more here!

Why Graduate Students?

Working with graduate students benefits both our clients and the students themselves. Clients receive quality therapy at a lower cost, while students gain valuable experience and supervision as they progress in their training to become licensed therapists.

What to Expect

When you work with one of our graduate student therapists, you'll work with a student therapist who is supervised by a licensed clinician. While the therapist may be in training, they are dedicated to providing compassionate and effective care. Therapy sessions are conducted in a safe and supportive environment, where you'll have the opportunity to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

Can I use my insurance benefits?

Unfortunately, because graduate students are not yet licensed, they are unable to meet the necessary requirements to be able to panel with insurance companies. This is why we kept the prices low; we aim to provide access to mental health services that are potentially comparable to your insurance benefits.

What if their listed fee is still too high for me to afford?

If you want to work with one of our graduate level therapist, please reach out. We’d like to see if we can work out a payment option that is accessible and affordable to you. If we are unable to adequately accomodate a fee that works for you, we are happy to offer referrals. Capital Area Counseling and St. Edward’s Community Clinic are both fantastic options!
