Relationships have been challenging for you, whether you've found yourself in unfulfilling partnerships, constant conflict, anxiety ridden connections, or simply seem to end up with the same "type" of person. Maybe you've found yourself lost in your long term relationship and what used to be a source of joy is now stale, lifeless, or desperately lacking passion.

I get it. Relationships can be one of the most challenging aspects of life to navigate for many reasons. I am here to help you explore the places in the relationship that need tending to with gentle compassion and care. My goal as a relational therapist is to help you reconnect with your partner in the ways that make sense and feel good to YOU as individuals. Together we have the opportunity to repair and build the kind of connection you desire!

Professional

While living in New York, prior to my education in counseling, I worked as a professional nanny to a mental health therapist. Through this experience I was immersed in what I can only describe as a crash course in attachment theory. This shaped the way I saw people and their problems, as well as child rearing and greatly informs my approach to therapy with my clients today.

My style is highly experiential and attachment informed. What this looks like in practice is active attunement to my clients emotions, a generous dose of compassion, and a genuine desire to understand. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families in exploring their problems and identifying the root cause of their issues so that we can remedy them as a team. Together, we work toward being fully expressed, repaired, and fulfilled.

Personal

I am endlessly curious about the people around me. From a young age I had a deeper interest in others and often inquired about things in people's lives that many would shy away from. I'm intrigued by the inner workings of others and how they view themselves, their problems, and the world. I consider myself an emotional person and am often moved by others easily, it's very easy for me to connect. This shines through in both my personal and professional life!

My own challenges led me to therapy at a very young age and I have been going on and off for the past 25ish years (I'm 36 for reference ;). I am a believer in the power that therapy can have when we do the work.

In addition to my formal education, I am a certified yoga instructor and birth and postpartum doula. Although this extra education was definitely more of a special interest endeavor than a professional one, I do find myself utilizing the principles of these practices often. In my free time I love playing volleyball, seeing new places, eating burgers, and hanging with my dog and amazing partner.
