Loved Ones of OCD Support Group
Discover Healing Through Connection
Do you live with or love someone with OCD? Are you constantly walking on eggshells out of fear of breaking the rules that can sometimes change day by day? Do you feel isolated and alone due to maintaining silence in an attempt to protect them from others knowing about their diagnosis?
Or maybe you grew up with a family member who had OCD and now find it difficult to form close relationships due to the stress and dysregulation that continues to live in your body.
Or maybe you’re a parent of a child with OCD and struggling with how to navigate the dynamics at home or how to offer support without enabling.
If your life has been impacted by a close relationship with someone with OCD, this group is for you.
This group provides a safe, empathic space where you can:
Learn to Regulate your Nervous System: Learn where your nervous system ‘lives’ and simple nervous system regulation tools you can use anytime, anywhere to begin teaching your body you are safe.
Discover Emotional Regulation: Learn powerful somatic techniques to help regulate your emotions and build a stronger sense of self.
Learn to Trust Yourself: Tap into your intuition through being in a safe space where your needs, emotions and opinions are valued. You will be invited to finally take up space.
Explore your Attachment Style: If you grew up in a family where one of the members had OCD, your attachment style has likely been impacted. Gain insights into yours, its impact on your relationships and practical tools to move towards secure attachment.
Learn Healthy Boundary Setting: Understand why setting and maintaining boundaries can be challenging with someone with OCD and how holding them benefits you both.
Connect with Others: Connect with others who share similar experiences, creating a supportive community that encourages speaking up, growth and healing.
